Undy a Hundy

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)(88) “You like spy movies, Mr. DeVille?” asks our villain. The man across the table laments how dry they’ve become. “Give me a far-fetched theatrical plot any day,” he replies. Outside of Tarantino, seldom is a film so candid about its influences. Kingsman is not only self-aware, but also cocky in the way it tackles the material it honors. The film pulls no punches as a wild tribute to Bond, breaking with tradition as it pleases. For example: a Kentucky Church Massacre unfolds to the tune of “Free Bird”.
